Albuquerque murals spring out of adobe walls, bleeding color onto dead mud facades. Summer heat rises, presses forth ancestral image, art of the streets, brings us closer to roots, rising up like a rubber ball.

Burque’s muralistas add art to places where art seems unlikely: the salón de belleza, the panaderia, the fence intersecting the long dead Santa Fe RR. Fences and walls come alive, bringing color to our footsteps as they cross June-hot citystreets.
